Preview: Donau Wien v Baia Mare
2010-02-26 18:19The Vienna game on March 13 is a classic David versus Goliath battle.
In one corner, there is Donau Wien, Austria’s top rugby team, current holders of the CEE Wooden Spoon Award, still unable to win a game in this prestigious international competition, however, improving a lot in their second season, scoring tries and making Vitézek sweat for their victory.
In the other corner, Baia Mare, undisputed favourites for this year’s CEE Rugby Cup, Romanian Champions, with many players, who are in the Romanian national team and also boasting actual World Cup veterans. The tie could not be more lop-sided. Donau Wien will be able to hold their heads high if they manage to keep the score respectable, scoring against their dominant opposition would most likely be considered an enormous victory for the Austrians. Baia Mare will be looking to come out of the game unhurt and fully fit. The public opinion is that victory is almost guaranteed with reserve players as well (on the basis of the drubbing the Romanian reserves handed to Bulldogok).

lol u must be really upset that u didn't make it into the world cup. GO RUSSIA GO GEORGIA!!!!!! i think the other comment says everything, we want to spread rugby over the world and you just cry like a baby that romanian rugby is not good any more, you are pathetic!!!

@unu it´s not about romanians have become really low level , they dominate this competition by far -especially baia mare- this competition( CEE Cup ) has been founded to improve the lower level of the other competitiors from Austria to Hungary and czech republic. and these teams can learn a lot of the romanians.

romanian rugby has became really low level.now we are playing with pathetic austrians and hungarians...really shitty ..what else a game against bulgarians?..astia de la baia mare sunteti de tot rahatu ati ajuns sa jucati cu ungurii vai de capu vostru , vedem la toamna cand jucati contra italienilor englezilor si francezilor...rusine!!!..inscrieti-va in campionatul lor poate castigati ceva, va simtiti si voi bine ca-i bateti pe toti.
